That is where I got all the ideas on what to try when fixing mine. It seems that Debi (westport1992) had a similar issue and got lots of great feedback from you all. I appreciate all your feedback, and any additional ideas on what I could to would be helpful. I am at a complete loss as to why this is happening. Based on the minimum requirements mentioned, my system has more than enough computing power as well as the latest firmware and quicktime loaded. I have removed the one font that FontDoctor told me was corrupt and I have made sure my system is in prime working order by following the steps mentioned by Steve. Well I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Premiere Elements 4 software, started up a brand new project and the moment I try to do anything with text, it kills the program. Thanks SOO much for your time.and for making this great muvipix resource available.

I removed it but still had no success getting the software rolling again.Ĭalling all experts who have either had or seen this problem and can offer some tips on fixing it. It has been a VERY frustrating process thus far.īy the way, according to Font Doctor, I did find one font that appears to be corrupt. Does anyone have any advice on what else I can do to get this thing back up and running. So, I am uninstalling and reinstalling the software tomorrow to see if that helps. This is supposed to eventually isolate the corrupted font(s) allowing me to delete it so the software will work again.

I followed some troubleshooting tips and have tried:ġ: Purchasing FontDoctor to remove some corrupted fonts.Ģ: Manually trying to find the corrupted font by making a new folder and tediously splitting the font list while deleting from the master windows fonts folder. Well, I noticed yesterday that every time I try to add text or a title, the software immediately shuts down and says, "Adobe Premiere Elements.exe has stopped working." In researching this, I noticed the posts: "Re: Problem When Adding Text" indicating that a few others have had the same problem. A little expert advice for the newbie please, LOL? I have Vista SP1 and have been using Premiere Elements 4 for the past few days with no problems.
